Physics, from first principles

Recorded lessons, transcribed and then enriched: the raw class is distilled into knowledge points, illustrated with interactive 3D scenes, and paired with hand-picked videos that go deeper on every idea it touches.

Lesson 1 — What Is Physics? The Five Ws of the Universe

2026-05-29. An introductory, first-principles tour: physics as the answer to the five Ws of the universe — where and when (3D space and spacetime), what (matter, field, information), why (motion and the four fundamental forces), and who (the observer). The second half turns concrete with kinematics: reading velocity–time graphs, why the area under the curve is distance, and a free-fall “two-window” problem.

Inside you’ll find interactive 3D illustrations (a spacetime worldline, a box of thermal motion, the atomic nucleus and the four forces, and a free-fall animation), plus curated explainers from PBS Space Time, MinutePhysics, Veritasium-style channels, Khan Academy, and Bilibili.
